The prop houses in London are located in what is known as the Golden Triangle. This is an area centered around the BBC buildings at White City and takes in Park Royal and Acton. This is where the larger of the prop hire companies are found. Many of the prop houses started life as shops who were regurlarly asked to supply items for use in Television and film and saw a business oppurtunity to do it full time. This is still the way that new prop hire companies and prop suppliers come into being.
